Three Things Thursday. Sharing a confession, question, and a quote.
Confession: I walk through the isles of the fabric store, bouncing my fingertips across the soft bolts of various prints and shades. Then something speaks to me, it calls my name, it says: I am the wind, sew me to the air. I am a butterfly, sew me to fluttering wings. I am a cupcake, I need some cherries! My eyes widen, my tummy tickles, I pull out the bolt of fabric and run my hands run over the flat cotton like a dog trainer praising her pet. I let it know that I have heard the story it wants to tell.
I LOVE SEWING. This isn’t exactly a confession because I’ve talked about it before.
I LOVE MAKING APRONS! I love fabric and putting different prints together and making something flirty and cute and funky people can wear
So. Much. Fun!

Question: What do you do that moves you, makes you hope and love and tremble?

I am in awe of you talents, writing and sewing. I tried sewing once. ONCE. I love going into the fabric store and looking at all the fabrics, but looking is all I do.
My answer – I write, because I love it and I am not myself I am not writing. I’ve been writing in one way or another for a long time, but only in recent years have come out of closet so to speak (declared myself a writer) and started forming my writing into stores and verse. What makes me tremble is seeing any woman live their passion (me too) and of course, I am taken with reckless joy.
Brenda, I took a class in college and had a very patient, very helpful professor who taught me to sew. Otherwise I would never have had to confidence to do it! Writing is therapy and entertainment and connection. I totally understand that passion. Live with that reckless joy!!

You are sooooo freaking awesome <3 Xxxx
Thank you:)) It’s true. That fabric has a story!
What do yI do that moves me, makes me hope and love and tremble? Singing. I love to sing, to minister in music, to worship God, to growl a bluesy song, to warm with big-band era music, to love with a love song (Alpha Hubby only).
Second and third, writing then drawing. Fourth, sitting on the proch in my new rocking chair and looking at the goodness of God. My life since I met Alpha Hubby has taken a 180 turn from messes to blessings. I am so grateful I lived to see this, live this, breathe it in and exhale joy.
I love singing too! I admire people who sing in front of other people!! Such a gift:)
