I’m coming out of the closet.

No.  Not that closet.  Although I’ve tried clothes on in that closet, that’s not the topic of this particular blog.
No, this closet is the one all of us have.   You know, the one that hides secrets we don’t share because to do so will disappoint others, could possibly bring shame to our family.  It might even change the way people see us.

Damn, that was a good day!

At 6:30 in the morning two Saturdays ago, my little 3-year-old peanut crawled into bed with me.  Our ritual.  I hold up the covers, she slides in and we have cuddle time.  No sooner than her head hit the pillow on this morning did she bounce back up to say, “Happy Birthday, Mommy” with a soft, sleepy smile.
